In case you haven't been getting any invitations to any activities from Discovery Land/Spanish Oaks, this will solve the mystery:
You aren't a member!
Right. The Golf Club haves are invited. The non-member have nots are not.
No more S.O. activities for have nots.
Wonder who will be allowed into the ol' fishing hole?
It would be nice if this were communicated from someone 'in charge', but maybe only the haves got the word.

hmmm... i think it was pretty apparent that was the direction when they changed the name of the community from spanish oaks at bee cave to spanish oaks golf club.
But we were told we'd have events for 'members' and non-members alike. And certainly there were those under Daniel Porter.
In a sense we are held as second class citizens, which doesn't help build that sense of community. So NON golfers should pay $80,000+ to go to the social activities? Not worth it.
It was said there'd be an opportunity for a social membership but - as in all things -we haven't had any communication about that.
How can a company this big be so incredibly bad at communication? Or maybe they only communicate to members? Members, what can you tell us about this?
As a non-member of the golf club, I'm wondering if we are still going to receive a Neighborhood directory or anything at all to help build some 'sense of community'. I'm beginning to regret ever building in this neighborhood--WE had NO idea that it was going to be like this.
As Non Golfer members of this community, we would certainly welcome an opportunity for a "social membership". In fact, when we were first shopping lots/homes in S.O., we were told that this opportunity would come when swim facility was completed.
The swim, tennis and club facilities are often a separate type of club membership.
